Hello all! Today's post is about cooking. If you guys don't know, I like (no, love) to cook, and I've made lots of desserts, appetizers, entrees, and more over the past year. Cooking might not be your thing, but if you've never tried, I encourage you to. Cooking is a way of helping others. How? Well, think of it this way. Your mom is tired and has a headache. She's been working hard all day goes to her room for a rest, knowing all too well that she'll have to make dinner when she wakes up. Imagine her joy, her excitement, when she comes downstairs to freshly baked lasagna, the table set, all done by YOU!
Now, I'm totally NOT implying that you need to go do that right now. I am simply providing you with an example for helping out WHILE cooking. And that's just one example! You could cook for a homeless shelter, for friends, for nursing homes, for your relatives! And here's the big surprise: you could cook for yourself!!! So, cooking isn't all about measuring, stirring, mixing, and shoving things in the oven. It's about kindness, and love, and showing that you care. At least, that's what cooking means to me.
